The motor only connects to the diaphragm that generates suction, and this diaphragm acts as a barrier to keep any milk or moisture from entering the motor interior. After pumping, please place it upright. Lying upside down or placing it horizontally may cause milk leakage.\n \nThis model is not a fully closed system.
